The day of sadness

I am here to talk about a the day a very important being left the earth forever.  The being was my cat, Danger.  She died when I was nine.  She had been sick, and we all knew she was going to die, but nobody was really ready for it.

She was the perfect cat, even in her old age of 27.   She slept on my bed all day long and purred when I rubbed her back.  She sat on the window perch, birdwatching during the morning, and played with her toys during the evening.

One day, after school I received word that my cat had cancer. The day after, I said my goodbyes to the animal that didn't know that death was right around the corner.  That night no one ate their dinner, and all went to bed without a good night.  The week after we got two more cats, but none could ever replace Danger.

  1. I like how you described what the cat did during it's days. I would have possibly described a bit more on how the cat had impacted on your family and what made her special. Other than that a good blog.
